Is sharpening my photo really free?
Yes. Editing your photo and saving it are both free. You do not need an account, and you will not be asked to pay to download the result after editing.
Can I make any blurry photo sharp?
No. The result depends on how much detail is left in your photo. A slightly blurry photo offers more possibilities than one with strong motion blur and barely any recognisable detail. You can try it for free and decide whether your photo has improved.
Can AI change faces or letters?
Yes. AI tries to fill in unclear details, but it does not know exactly what they originally looked like. Faces, hair and letters can change as a result. A photo can look sharper without every detail being correct. Compare the result with your original.
Can I sharpen a photo on my phone?
Yes. You can use the tool on your phone or computer, directly on this website. You do not need to install a separate app or photo editor.
Can I use this to restore an old photo too?
You can try to sharpen an old photo, for example after scanning it. This tool is not designed to repair scratches, tears or discolouration. A separate tool for that is coming, but it is not available yet.
How do I share my edited photo?
Choose ‘Save photo’ first. Then you can share the saved file, for example through WhatsApp or email. Send the photo itself, not the link to this page: it does not contain your photo.
Can I come back later to save the result?
No. Goede Foto does not keep your photo or the result for a later visit. Save the edited photo before leaving the page or starting again. Otherwise, you will need to choose your original photo and edit it again.
